Happy two year anniversary to my dream man 😍 even though we both got pooped on today and didn’t leave the house, I wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate our anniversary any other way 💙 @thechrisscott I am too tired to write anything more but you know how much I love you 💕
First trip out to eat with little man went fabulous! Sullivan slept right through our breakfast and mom was able to enjoy some delicious avocado toast (to fuel all the breastfeeding 😆). Going out to eat was a necessity this morning since our fridge is running low on provisions and I can’t wait until I’m up for attempting to grocery shop with my little dude. Who knew I would miss doing simple activities like grocery shopping 🤷♀️ This dietitian misses perusing the grocery store aisles! •

Happy Saturday everyone 👌🏻
If you guys want to know what we are doing over here.. this is it. Eat, sleep, poop, repeat. My life consists of 2-3hour increments of time between feedings. Plus, I am still supposed to be taking it easy post c section so only small walks are my main exercise these days as I let this bod heal. Mom life is an adjustment but I absolutely love it even when I get nothing done. Sullivan loves his mom so much that he doesn’t even like me cooking meals because that takes too much time away from him so hubby has been picking up the slack in the kitchen recently 👌🏻😍 no food posts to shower you guys with so here is an adorable picture of my little man instead!
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends an additional 500 calories a day for breastfeeding mommas. Breastfeeding requires more protein, vitamins, and minerals than when you are pregnant. The exact amount of calories you need a day depends on how much you are nursing, the more you nurse, the higher your calorie needs. Eating a healthy, balanced, diet will fuel your body with exactly what it needs to produce quality breast milk for baby!! Still amazed by how awesome our bodies are designed. •

The academy recommends that your extra calories are coming from nutritious foods like lean meats, low fat dairy, vegetables, whole grains and fruit.👐🏻

You are the biggest blessing to our little family and we can’t stop staring at your precious face. Chris and I are lacking in the sleep department but it’s so worth it for all the late night cuddles and sweet sweet smiles. •

We are getting this breastfeeding thing down and trying to get some kind of routine in place but we know you aren’t much of a “routine” kind of guy 🤣

I am so obsessed with you little man 💕
No fancy breakfasts over here for this breastfeeding momma! Just simple and quick breakfasts that are packed with nutrition to fuel me for a long day of feeding and changing endless diapers 💕 breastfeeding has definitely been one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have ever done, still amazed by how awesome our bodies are! •
