Everyone seems to think they know the importance of water but did you know that humans can only survive 2-4 days without water? Did you know that water makes up about 60% of our body weight? Did you know that some research shows that increased water intake can decrease the risk of obesity … Continue reading How Important is Water Consumption? How Much Water Do you Need?
Double post today because little man is getting so big that he can go to brunch with mom and grandma and not fuss at all! Everyday he learns something new, he loves to grab on to things, put his hands in his mouth, and chat up a storm with baby noises. PLUS he slept for three and a half hours last night continuously which has never happened so I’m hoping this is the beginning of something good! 💙
What’s my favorite thing to do while traveling? Finding healthy restaurant options!!! 🥑🥦🥬Seriously miss living in Orlando and being surrounded by trendy, fresh, and healthy food options for dining out. I love restaurants that help people nourish their body and eat more veggies on-the-go because we all know sometimes we don’t have time or we don’t want to make a meal at home so having better-for-you restaurants are an awesome option to have 😍 • • Bowl Details: Hot Asian Sweet Potato Noodles ⬅️ Lemon Chicken ⬅️ Balsamic Mushrooms ⬅️ Roasted Broccoli ⬅️

You know what motivates me to eat vegetable packed meals? I think about all the health benefits the tasty vegetables are providing to my bod and how consuming more vegetables has been linked to increased life span 👌🏻 It’s no secret that plenty of research points to eating more fruits and veggies to help sidestep ailments that plague people more as they age including heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and cataracts (to name a few). Plus, I love the way I feel after eating meals like the one pictured above! The avocado added some healthy fats and I used canned salmon as my protein source. • • Check out the breakdown of how I fit 6 servings of veggies + 1 serving of fruit (guidelines recommend at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables/day!) into just one meal. • • 2 cups raw spinach = 2 serving veg • 1/2 cup carrots = 1 serving veg • 1/2 cup cucumbers = 1 serving veg • 1 cup sweet potatoes = 2 serving veg • 1/2 cup avocado = 1 serving fruit • Total: 7 servings of inflammation fighting fruit and vegetables• • • I want to hear: What keeps you motivated to meet your fruit and vegetable goal?
Who knew that making a plate of roasted veggies would one day be such an accomplishment 🤣 The husband was off work today so this Dietitian got to spend some time in the kitchen for the first time in forever. Obviously I chose to cook my fav foods which are VEGGIES🍠🌶🥒. I cooked all the veggies we had in the fridge to make sure that nothing went bad or was wasted [i hate food waste]. • • • I honestly had no idea how hard cooking a meal would be with an infant in the house, it took me three attempts to make a smoothie this morning between diaper changes, breastfeeding breaks, and failed nap attempts. I am so much more thankful now for just 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to do simple tasks like roast some veggies and do the dishes. I feel like no one can prepare you for the challenges that come with #momlife I am not complaining, I am obsessed with my baby boy but not going to lie and say this mom thing is easy! • • • Cheers to all the mommas out there, you are all superheroes.
Happy One Month (a day late) to this little stud muffin. You are my greatest blessing Sullivan James. 🌱
