Did you know that the first 1,000 days of a child’s life are of tremendous importance? How well a child is nourished can have a profound impact on the child’s ability to grow, learn, and thrive. This is because the first 1,000 days are when a child’s brain begins to grow and develop and when the foundations for their long-term health are build. (resource: The First Thousand Days Project )
I am passionate about helping equip and support mothers on how to feed their little ones nourishing foods that are pivotal in proper health and development by focusing on adequate vitamins, minerals, and macro nutrients for each phase of growth. Babyledweaning/Toddler Nutrition consults are available to help lead you through how to teach your child to eat nourishing foods from the start. Breastfeeding consults will be available soon as well to aid in increasing the rates of exclusive breastfeeding in the United States, breast-milk is the optimal nutrition source for newborns and I would love to support you providing that to your little one.
Adults: I am Dietitian who believes in not following a diet, I believe that moderation and portion control are key and that having a diet full of variety is the best way to nourish your body. I believe in allowing yourself “food freedom” and that all all foods can fit into a perfectly delicious and nutritious meal plan. I believe in only providing my readers with credible and researched based information. In a society where the main topic of conversation is “what is the easiest way to lose weight?”, I believe dietitians are needed more than ever to dispel food myths and promote healthy eating and healthy self image.
